Lisa knew exactly what she wanted for her website. She had chosen a theme, had written the content for each page and even designed the sitemap, all in Powerpoint.
Putting the site together took me very little time, and once complete, I spend the afternoon with Lisa making tweaks until everything was exactly as she wanted.
After initially deciding on a static site, it was at this point it became clear there were sections on the website that would need updating from time to time. Faced with the choice of converting the site to a full Content Management System or have me update the site on her behalf each time, I instead added a simple login to the site, that allowed Lisa to edit the content inline, right there on the page.
Given the flexibility in how the site was put together, the work took only an hour to do, and Lisa is happy that she can easily edit her site without learning a new CMS.
